    What a beautiful portrait. Thanks for the background information on your opportunistic cactus. All the more interesting that you took the photo with the Droid X. It never ceases to astonish me how much is packed into our phones these days.

    Thanks Jim. Re the background info….I feel fortunate to have met and kept in touch with Steve. He’s always so generous with his endless botanical knowledge!

    Re the Droid X camera….I’m learning that it softens strong highlights just like the Lensbaby does which ends up making a very pleasing photo!
