Luminaria Fire

There’s a COLD front moving in and we’re about to have our first freezing temperatures this week. I wanted to cover my most tender (non-native) plants this evening but it’s raining. I’m hoping they can tolerate one night. Anyway….the cold made me happy we went to Luminaria on Thursday night. This photo is from last year when it was especially cold during the event. But they had these wonderful fire pits in several places to keep everyone warm.

This image was taken with my Droidx held tight against the arm on my chair.

DBG

I visited friends at the Desert Botanical Garden yesterday and captured this shot of cactus blooms. There are dozens of cactus right inside the entrance in various stages of bloom including some full rings. Worth a visit!
