I didn’t see Cleo climb inside the barbed wire tree but he needed help getting out. I think he finds it hard to believe it’s already time to pack up all the decorations so he’s staging a protest. 🙂

mindless entertainment
It’s been awhile since you’ve been subjected to a cat video so here you go. 🙂
(note that Cloe isn’t as crazed by it as her brother)

walking the cats
We’ve been seeing Bobcats every day and yesterday saw a female with 2 kittens!
So…I try to walk the cats near the house but they quickly head toward the desert.
After all, there’s nothing to hunt in the driveway 🙂
camp cat
Cleo and Cleo encountered their first cat in 3 years recently. We had just arrived at our campsite
in Monument Valley when a very sweet black cat came around. Cleo did not share our sentiments!
Listen for yourself 🙂

catch and release rule
Cleo with his prize last night. We have a catch and release rule here and 99 percent
of the time the lizards live to tell about their ordeal. This was a good day for the lizard 🙂
Not a great photo but this was shot with my 5DMK2 which is NOT an action camera.
feline friday
It’s time for another adventure with Cleo and Cloe. This time: The Drinking Fountain.
These fountains are great but it didn’t last long. Cloe was determined to figure out where the
water was coming from which lead to turning it over several times a week. She’s a clever one.
Since not everyone likes cats, I’m also including a photo from yesterday. Native barrel cactus are
blooming so keep your eye out this next week for colors ranging from pale yellow to bright orange/red.
Tech info: Hand held, Canon 180mm Macro lens, ISO 400, f/6.7, 1/350th, +.5 exp comp.
And now without further ado….Here’s Cleo and Cloe 🙂

life is good
Cloe continues to take really good care of her brother Cleo.
(I’ve missed a couple of photo days due to re-organizing my digital darkroom)
sun, rain, snow
We were greeted by sun at 9000 feet and enjoyed a full day of it.
The next night a scary storm made us feel that trees were coming down around us! The next morning it started to snow.
Today we went to Abiquiu and toured Georgia O’Keefe’s home. We’re now parked 15 miles from there at Ghost Ranch and the sun is trying to come out. Next stop is Bandelier Nat’l Monument. No internet for the next three days.
awwwww
The cutest kitties in the world come to my rescue for photo of the day 🙂
Cleo on the left. His sister Cloe on the right.
dinner
On his walk yesterday afternoon, Cleo was curious about something under a shrub. It was a Gopher Snake working on his dinner. Considering this rabbit is about the same size as Cleo, it’s no wonder pets don’t last long on their own in the desert.
