While Chris was hiking over Wilson Mountain in Sedona, I was moving and shaking my camera on the West Fork Trail. He ended up with a good sized bump on his knee and I ended up with the above. We both had a totally excellent time!

West Fork color

This image was taken last weekend at the West Fork Trail in Sedona. We’re going back today to check out the color before it is gone. I’m only going to shoot abstracts this time using either a very slow shutter speed with one of my zoom lenses or using my Lensbaby. This is my favorite kind of shooting since it requires no tripod but it’s also a hit or miss process. Hope I have something to show tomorrow 🙂
cats, infrared and lensbabies

You don’t actually “walk” a cat. You “follow” a cat. This makes for a lot of very slow moving and sitting while they stalk lizards. The positive is the time it presents for reading or for playing with my camera. I am trying to get inspired to use my Lensbaby more and also shooting more infrared so here is a shot with both implemented.

Hyde Memorial State Park, high in the Santa Fe mountains, was hands down my favorite room with a view during our RV trip through New Mexico.

Still trying to catch up. Jpegs are the only images I’ve downloaded so here’s another shot of Cleo and Cloe who truly loved the RV experience 🙂

We were greeted by sun at 9000 feet and enjoyed a full day of it.

The next night a scary storm made us feel that trees were coming down around us! The next morning it started to snow.

Today we went to Abiquiu and toured Georgia O’Keefe’s home. We’re now parked 15 miles from there at Ghost Ranch and the sun is trying to come out. Next stop is Bandelier Nat’l Monument. No internet for the next three days.

From my archives today with a little help from Photomatix using the single image option. This was my favorite image from our last trip to New Mexico. The woman is Leona of Leona’s Restaurante which is located a few steps from the famous El Santuario de Chimayo. Her wonderful food and location has made her known around the world! We’re not going in that direction on this trip but I always think of her when I think of New Mexico.

Another HDR shot from Jerome. This time in the Liberty Theater museum with a super wide lens. It’s hard to stop playing with Photomatix 🙂
