While I photograph, Chris climbs. This time to the moon and back 🙂
Canon SX1 IS at max zoom which equates to 560 mm. (I regularly use my SX1 like binoculars)
The moon was as you see!

Be kind to the earth and all its inhabitants 🙂
Joshua Tree National Park with the 3 Cs turned out to be a fun time for all!

Cloe (much more adventurous than her brother!)
Views are the reward after a steep climb to the Quartz Outcropping in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
I finally hiked up to Inspiration Viewpoint in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. It’s only 3.25 miles but the elevation gain is 1000 feet so it’s a little challenging. Chris and my photographer friend Barry went too. Click for a panoramic view.
Hiking in the Brown’s Ranch area of the Preserve yesterday afternoon, a photographer friend spots a Tarantula. He suggests I put Chris in the photo too. So I did 🙂
While Chris was hiking over Wilson Mountain in Sedona, I was moving and shaking my camera on the West Fork Trail. He ended up with a good sized bump on his knee and I ended up with the above. We both had a totally excellent time!
Jerome is another wonderful photo op. Here’s Chris being his usual patient self as I photograph. You usually don’t see him sitting so he must have already hiked to the top of the mountain and back 🙂 (Another HDR)
Cleo has Chris wrapped around his little paw. He gets to hunt lizards anywhere he wants in the desert.
A shot of Chris on our walk this morning. Monsoon clouds are always a welcome sight. They don’t always mean rain but we and the desert plants appreciate the moisture in the air.
