Sunflower Hill

Here’s another of my favorite infrareds. The Sunflower Hill Bed and Breakfast in Moab, Utah is one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed and I felt infrared would show off its charm perfectly. This was taken in 2003 with my Minolta Dimage 7. Shortly after, they put in a hot tub on the side lawn which took away a lot of the charm in my opinion but it’s still a great place with fabulous breakfasts!

You are so right – it is wonderful as an infrared. Lucky for you that you got to stay there. Looks like it is straight out of story book. A magical photo – thanks for sharing

  2. Missed your comment Carol! Thanks so much. Unfortunately, they don’t allow pets so we haven’t been back since Cleo and Cloe arrived.

This is one of your best..IR.. and one that got me started doing IR a few years back. The Minolta is in a box and no longer gathers any attention. But it was a great IR instrument and I still have favorites captured with it.

  4. Thanks for the comment Howard. Yes….the Minolta was amazing. I also achieved beautiful results with my converted D60. (I still have both cameras). I’ve spent very little time on IR in the last few years but I really want to get back to it on two trips this fall.
