Pinnacle Peak Patio

Taken with my Droidx smartphone at Pinnacle Peak Patio. If you’re in the Phoenix area and have not photographed this area yet, your time may be limited because the property us up for sale. I hate to see it go 🙁

Luminaria Fire

There’s a COLD front moving in and we’re about to have our first freezing temperatures this week. I wanted to cover my most tender (non-native) plants this evening but it’s raining. I’m hoping they can tolerate one night. Anyway….the cold made me happy we went to Luminaria on Thursday night. This photo is from last year when it was especially cold during the event. But they had these wonderful fire pits in several places to keep everyone warm.

This image was taken with my Droidx held tight against the arm on my chair.

Prickly Pear in Black and White

I haven’t posted any phoneography in awhile so here’s a recent one.

Cat on a Hot Rock

It has been really hot but Cleo and Cloe love it! It doesn’t make sense to me since they have fur coats but they like to lay out in their enclosure or on the warm concrete floor in the garage all day. At night, they are forced to endure air conditioning 🙂

Pickin’ Time

It’s an especially good year for Prickly Pear fruit! They look so yummy that I took my friend Alice’s advice and put some in the freezer. Now to check out some recipes. There’s so much more you can do than just that jellied Prickly Pear Candy 🙂

Droid shot of Prickly Pear Fruit during a recent morning walk

Morning Face

I pass this spot almost every day on my morning walks but I had never noticed this Saguaro. Lighting is key to seeing faces in the desert and I was out a little earlier than usual yesterday OR he might just have moved into the neighborhood 🙂

Droidx Sunrise

Garden Ants

My latest art find for my yard captured with my Droidx. An overload of cute 🙂
