Pump House Wash
It was overcast with misting rain when we hiked a portion of Pump House Wash just north of Sedona. My best fall images have the same conditions in common so I consider them ideal for capturing fall color. Having to protect your gear is the trade-off but well worth it.

Just beautiful. Love the color and soft feel of the leaves. I think you could make a whole series of great images just of the rocks in the wash.
Thanks, John! I really like the soft look too so I’ve been adding a diffuse glow to many of my images lately. Re the rocks……yes…they were so amazing. I look forward to going back next fall and spending lots of time with them.
Sweet composition. It’s really nice to see rock with browns rather than grey. The overall warmth is very attractive.
