Glochid Monster
Here’s a shot of the Prickly Pear Cactus that GOT me with its Glochids on Jan 16 as I was shooting sunrise. I was squatted down just to the right of it in order to be low enough to capture the cholla skeleton against the sky.
DroidX photo grunged up with a couple of textures.

Somehow, some way, I’ve never got got by the prickly pear. Everything else in the desert with a spine or sticker, yes, but not them. Perhaps you are lucky.
Unfortunately…not lucky at all! I thought I was being really careful but it got me good the morning I shot the sunrise. I’ve also sat on a cholla or two while shooting wildflowers. Price of being absorbed by photography 🙂
