Grand Canyon Morning

This shot from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is another photo from my archives brought to a new life with textures.

Prickly Poppy

A friend and I hiked a favorite canyon a couple of days ago and were so disappointed with the low amount of flower displays this year. This particular place is usually loaded with Southwestern Prickly Poppies which are especially fun to photograph because they are so large. Today I’m posting a Prickly Poppy captured in Infrared up at the Grand Canyon last year. I played with the image channels to introduce some false color.

A Grand View

I capture this scene every time we’re up here but I had great light this time. Canon 5D Infrared converted. 24-205mm@ 32. ISO 200, 1/100th sec @ f/13.

Grand Canyon

This shot of the Grand Canyon was captured with a Canon Powershot and although I liked the composition, the image was very flat. I thought I’d try some filters on it and this is the result.
