There was a LITTLE color when I first arrived and even a yellow tree here and there but overall, it has another week to go. Here are some color photos from my first few days in Flagstaff.
The following photos were captured with a variety of cameras. Fuji X-E1, Canon Powershot N and my Galaxy Nexus smartphone. I’m more and more impressed by what I can produce with my Galaxy Smartphone, especially, and truly enjoy the challenge of creating good images with it. (Of course it helps to know your equipment very well.) My main reason for carrying these cameras? This light load makes hiking so much more enjoyable!
Same location as my first Infrared image. Galaxy Nexus smartphone.
Lockett Meadow Tank. Two images captured with my Galaxy Smartphone and combined in PhotoshopTouch. I was lucky the lighting conditions didn’t change much between the two images. The sky is the only clue.
I was pleasantly surprised to see flowers near the Inner Basin Trailhead. Galaxy Nexus.
Grasses among the Aspen near the Inner Basin Trailhead. Fuji X-E1
The Inner Basin Trail at Lockett Meadow captured with my Galaxy Smartphone and edited in the phone with Photoshop Touch.
The Inner Basis trail had some great color about a mile up. No color before or after which was strange. Canon Powershot N.
Mossy Rocks along the Inner Basin Trail. Galaxy Nexus
These trees are truly beautiful. I was just looking up what the American aspen is exactly – different from the aspen and poplars we have in Europe. Thanks for sharing all these glorious images!
Thanks so much for your feedback, Mandy! I’m so happy you like them 🙂
