Atlas Mine
This was one of a few buildings standing around the Atlas Mine on Yankee Boy Basin Road. Shooting in the middle of the day isn’t ideal but who could pass up this Aspen show! (HDR and Photomatix came to the rescue).

An upcoming road trip to Colorado has me thinking about shaking my camera at fall color again. Can’t wait! Here’s an example taken last year at Sedona’s West Fork Trail.

A composite of two of my favorite things. Boulder faces (left) and trees. The tree is a DroidX image I captured the other day on my walk in my neighborhood and the wonderful boulder face is near the Preserve.

This was a challenging scene to capture because the best vantage point was down a steep embankment off Schultz Pass Road. Totally worth the effort, though! Hope the color isn’t too far off. I’ve been transitioning to a new computer for a couple of weeks now and I’m not working on a calibrated monitor.

One of my favorite photo ops at Boyce Thompson Arboretum is the area devoted to the deserts of Australia. It’s filled with Eucalyptus Trees and other flora from that country. To add authenticity, they even built a Drover’s (sheep herders) Shack and a Windmill. There is also an old rusty pickup truck to complete the picture. DroidX photo
