Flagstaff Fall Color Part Five

Monday morning, I meet friends at Lockett Meadow and we are treated to the first calm morning since I’ve been here. I also find the color has progressed considerably in just a few days. We first stop for the classic reflection shot at the Tank (aka Pond). Of course, the wind started back up but not until we all got a good reflection shot.

My trip is winding down to the last two days which is a few days short but I’m a little concerned about the weather forecast (1-3 inches of snow!). I love the idea of fall color and snow photos but as much as I love Flagstaff, I don’t want to be stuck up here!

Beautiful images again! Love the last one. I haven’t even tried to intentionally move or shake my camera…. now there’s a thought. Well so long as it doesn’t rain in England I will be far less on the internet (using hubby’s laptop with French keyboard is too much like hard work) and have more time to play with cameras, even if there are few bugs or flowers left. Hoping for some nice leaf colour too as it is still very green here.
Enjoy the rest of your time there Marianne and don’t get snowed in! Eeeks. Just seeing your frost picture is scary! 🙂
So happy you like my ICM (intentional camera movement) image! It’s my favorite way of shooting. With practice, you can come close to predicting how it will turn out. I’m going to assume you haven’t seen my “Forest in Motion” book so here’s a link. I think you’ll be even more inspired to start shaking your camera 🙂

Oh so those were the blurb books you were talking about some while ago? Pretty cool stuff! I can only see a small size version and I actually preferred the one with bugs to trees (not surprisingly), although the tree movement is really clever. I’ll have to try it out 🙂
