A late start and a black fur coat makes it even tougher for Cleo to hunt lizards 🙂

suncat
This was sunset last night at seen through silhouetted trees. You’ve heard of a sundog, right? Mirroring the image revealed a suncat with his tongue sticking out 🙂
monsoon
The Monsoon gives hope of rain almost every afternoon but so far not a drop. This quick shot from last night (Canon S5 ) needed a lot of help so I opened it in ACR, converted it to 16bit and opened it as a smart object. I then manipulated the heck out of it to give it more of an impending rain look 🙂
Here is the original.
sunset
The Monsoon season has arrived. This is last night’s sunset reflected in our garage windows. I superimposed another photo (taken at the same time) of trees on the horizon.
killer tomatoes
Our favorite tomatoes (vine type and cherry tomatoes) turn out not to be included in the
salmonella scare so I felt safe buying these yesterday. I thought about it briefly, though,
because it was Friday the 13th 🙂
Shortly after taking this photo, I ate two with some blue cheese dressing (yum!).
This morning I’m fine. Whew!
I see marbles
This aisle of sport drinks made me think of photoshop marbles. I used my Canon S5 (set on the smallest aperture) and walked very quickly to get the blur. I then applied a Flaming Pear filter called Flexify2 .
memorial day
Spine stars
In the bright sun, these spine clusters looked like stars to me so I enhanced them a bit in Photoshop.
Sitting on top of the world
This isn’t my image but I thought it was a good subject for Photoshop’s polar coordinates filter
mentioned in yesterday’s post. The photo is from a trip to the top of Mt Rainier that Chris (on left)
and three business associates did.
Lost my Marbles
If you lose your marbles, just create your own in Photoshop 🙂
A group I belong to has been having fun with an old tutorial for creating planets, glass balls, orbs;
whatever you want to call them. Depending on the subject matter, they can turn out really interesting.
You can’t predict what the edge color will be except if you have predominance of one color.
The most fun can be had with a skyline of buildings against blue skies or a night sky.
In that case, the buildings can have the apperance of projecting from the sphere. It’s very cool.
Whatever you come up with, the process is just plain fun! Here’s a link to the original tutorial: http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/create-your-own-panorama-planets/
