hiking boots for a horse?
Hiking boots for horses? Who knew?! We were introduced to this interesting tidbit on this morning’s MSC photo walk. Donna, his owner, told us that her horse doesn’t have metal shoes so these boots protect his feet from the stones on the trails. This encounter turned out to be a great photo op for the group especially since the horse was a ham who seemed to love posing for us.

A gorgeous but unusual sunset this evening.
In the shot below, I zoomed in on the Saguaro at the back of the scene.
swingin’ in the rain
First I set the camera to a 2 second delay, pressed the shutter and then began swinging it very slowly as I walked by a holiday light display. And…yes…it was sprinkling rain. I always giggle at every resulting shot and then force Chris to look at them all. Poor guy 🙂
oak creek heart
Faces are always fun to find but hearts are even better 🙂 This one was sitting in Oak Creek not far from Cathedral Rocks in Sedona.

This is an image of a small thicket of trees that we’ve passed each afternoon while hiking to town. To me their color and bare limbs portray how cold it is here. I thought an abstract would translate that even more so I shook my camera as I pressed the shutter. Do you sense the cold? I suppose you might since I told you that’s what you were supposed to feel 🙂
