half price hedgehogs

I bought two small hedgehog hybrids on sale three years ago not knowing their identity or what color the blooms would be. Last year, the first one gave me a single amazing pale pink bloom and a big red fruit which a ground squirrel thoroughly enjoyed eating.

This year, I was rewarded with over a dozen blooms!

The smaller hedgehog didn’t bloom the first two years but look what I found just a little bit ago on my way back from bringing in the recycle bin! Only one bloom but wow…that’s an amazing pink! The light was dappled so I decided to do an HDR. I’m looking forward to seeing what it produces next year!

Fabulous hike on North State Trust Land this morning with a snake encounter at the end!

That footage is a little shaky 🙂

Shot with Canon Powershot SX1. Today I learned that movie mode doesn’t focus very close.
Next time I’ll zoom in for the close-ups. That might have helped with the overexposures too.
In case you’re interested, I use Sony Vegas Studio 9 Platinum for video editing.
