Only a small group took a chance that we might get to enjoy MSC steward Dan Gruber’s excellent geology hike but it was not to be 🙁
It’s snowing! Really! Not the kind that stays around but it’s fun to see 🙂
This eerie sun and clouds turned out to be a result of a fire about 40 miles away. Over 1000 acres of brush, mostly Tamarisk (Salt Cedar), were burning in the Salt River bed. These trees produce a really dark smoke.
