I found a face in one of the tortoise shell pieces. I thought it looked eerily like a tortoise!

sonoran songbird
Today I’m including a little clue to what I was thinking when I spotted this boulder 🙂
Seen from trail 31 on State Trust Land.
patience
Chris walked right past this face on the Tom’s Thumb Trail but then patiently waits while I record it. He’s the most patient guy in the world 🙂
Moss and Lichen face
the buck stopped here
Spotted under an Ironwood tree yesterday along the Bajada Nature Trail in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
That’s what I call camouflage 🙂
under the watchful eye…..
hay wagon
I see faces in other places than the desert. On a trip to Boyce Thompson Arboretum, we yelled FACE! at the same moment 🙂
Hay Face shot through the windshield.
afternoon face
Just when I thought I had seen all the faces on the main part of the Tom’s Thumb trail,
I find this great one. Afternoon light might explain why I hadn’t noticed it before.
pacman rock
Frustrating Photoshop issues rearing their ugly heads but I did enjoy a hike to Toms Thumb this am.
Here’s a new rock face to add to my folder. Looks like Pacman, don’t you think? Sleepy Pacman 🙂
I was lucky to get a person in the image for scale (lower right).
Thanks to my friend Barry who spent all afternoon troubleshooting with me!
about face
This is by far the best Saguaro face I’ve seen so far. Not only does it have a fabulous crest
but it is obviously a very old guy since there are arms growing out of the crested area.
It was at the private garden I visited on Saturday.
sleeping giants
I’m seeing more and more faces lately which just means I’m hiking more among the boulders 🙂
