javelina food
Yummy! Javelina love cactus blooms so this one lasted only one day. I took a quick shot of it the day before they found it with the intention of going back for some macro shots the next morning. I should have known better.
(FYI:a variety of Octopus Cactus)
Teddy Bear Cholla Bloom
Teddy Bear Cholla (Cylindropuntia bigelovii) blooms are fairly small and very light in color so most people don’t even notice them. Probably a good thing since getting too close to one of these Cholla almost guarantees that you’ll leave with segment stuck on you somewhere 🙂
