greeting cards
Heat kept me inside today so I spent time in my digital darkroom creating greeting cards.
What I want to show you is that I only use two files to create ALL my cards.
One file is in horizontal format and the other is vertical. Each file has multiple images.
Layer Groups are the key to keeping the image components and text nicely organized.
When I’m ready to print a card, only the group with the desired image is turned on.
It takes a little more time to set up but it sure is nice to have all your cards in one file!
panorama card stock
Red River Paper recently introduced a panorama sized card that uses a standard number 10 business envelope. The paper is 60lb Premium Matte paper which renders both color and black and white very well. Above are some cards I just printed. None of the photos are actually panoramas but have been cropped to fit. Cropping can be a fun exercise since it makes a completely new photo!
moo
Check out Moo cards if you haven’t already. Above is their mini moo card. The minimum order is 100 but you can have 100 different photos! How cool is that?! To top that off, you get 6 lines of text on the back. (text has to be the same on all cards). I have also ordered their greeting cards and the quality is excellent. Again, you can have a different photo on each card.
