You are lucky to live where you do. The bark could make a great background for other pictures. I like the backlit scene – beautiful.
My husband used to help clear invasive grass at the Desert Botanical Garden with a volunteer crew. It was tough, tough work and almost seemed hopeless. There was so much of it, and always more. Non-native species are always a problem.
