Trying to capture Chihuly’s glass creations in the outdoors is really tough
but with a little help from the digital darkroom, I get the shot I want.

“with a little help from the digital darkroom” Care to expand on that? It’s pretty impressive as-is. I’m guessing that the glass had less contrast and more reflections in the original.
As an aside, I could photography Chihuly glass for a very long time and not get bored.
I appreciate the feedback, Jim. Like you, I would never tire of shooting Chihuly! Regarding this shot….I bracketed 3 frames 1.5 stops apart and combined them with Photomatix. To get the color pop, I used Topaz Adjust for added contrast and Topaz Simplify for a little color pop. Both very worthwhile programs in my opinion.
