Fendler&#8217;s or Wood&#8217;s Rose which is a paler pink and Arizona Rose (pictured). According to Epple&#8217;s Plants of Arizona, they like different environments. The Arizona Rose grows along streams or in small clearings in Ponderosa Pine Forests which was exactly where I found it. I was on the Schultz Creek trail following the creek. The Fendler&#8217;s on the other hand, likes Roadsides, slopes and large clearings. I found it in a wide open meadow at Aspen Corner.
