River Eggs

Roots hanging over the bank of Oak Creek – Topaz enhanced. These river rocks looked like eggs hidden among the roots. Probably not chocolate 🙂

Let’s Meetup

A successful photography Meetup for our digital club yesterday! We started at the General Store and then moved to Greasewood Flat all the while encountering endless photo ops. The last stop was supposed to be Pinnacle Peak Patio but most had either run out of pixels or got lost. I went but stayed just long enough to get this photo.

Collared Lizard

This female Collared Lizard typically hangs out in the same spot on the upper trail at Boyce Thompson Arboretum so you’re likely to get a shot of her if you take that great hike. She was in deep shade so I took a few shots and used Photomatix and some Topaz filters to bring out detail. Captured with Canon 7D and Canon 300mm lens. ISO 400, f/5.7 @ 1/320th sec.
